911 Basic Telecommunicator
Applicants for the position of 911 "Basic Telecommunicator" require a high school diploma or GED. Experience in Public Safety dispatching preferred, but not required. KY Public Safety Basic Telecommunicator certification a plus.
All applicants will take a computer based pre-employment test. You must also comply with requirements of (TPS) - Telecommunicator Professional Standards Act of KY (KRS 15.530 – 15.590) requires a criminal history check, suitability screening, polygraph examination, finger printing, and drug screening.
Full-time employees must attend the Kentucky Telecommunications academy in Richmond Kentucky for a total of (205) hours. Part-time employees must attend a CJIS (40) hour course in Richmond Kentucky. All employees must complete an in-house training program for (11) weeks.

All {CTO's) Certified Training Officer's are certified through the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) in Richmond, Kentucky.

DOCJT Academy
The DOCJT located in Richmond Kentucky provides a 4 week academy for recruits. You will learn from top notch instructors with many years of experience and training.

NCMEC
Receive certifications from a variety of state and federal programs including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
